Publicity Campaign in Drenthe

The Province of Drenthe, STAMM CMO, Hanze University Groningen and the Municpality of Aa en Hunze are planning an awareness-raising campaign around the theme of informal care giving. There are currently more than 100,000 caregivers in Drenthe, many working for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

‘Working caregivers are carrying a heavy load when you consider their double responsibilities', according to Ard van der Tuuk, Member of the Executive Board for the province of Drenthe.

Goal of the campaign is to raise awareness amongst employers and informal care givers in terms of the issues arising from this combination of tasks and to search together for solutions.

As a result of the ageing population and government cutbacks, for example, the number of people in this situation is expected to double over the next ten years - with the risk of stress and burn-out for many employees.

‘Statement' - communication advisors - will develop and produce the campaign within the scope of iAge.  Co creation sessions are taking place right now, with the active involvement of  SMEs, employees, municipalities, social care organizations and more. Together they are designing a roadmap and a calendar of events to be held next year.
